Joanne is a state-registered podiatrist who began her career with the NHS in the UK, where she gained extensive experience diagnosing and treating a wide range of foot conditions, many arising from systemic illnesses such as diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, Charcot–Marie–Tooth disease and psoriasis.

Promoted to Senior Podiatrist, Joanne specialised in nail surgery and led busy, hospital based outpatient clinics for high risk foot patients, particularly those with compromised health such as diabetic and rheumatoid patients. In this role she performed surgical removal of ingrown toenails and provided non-surgical management for problematic and fungal nails. She also treated common foot conditions including corns, calluses and dermatological issues, delivered verruca (wart) treatments, and provided patient education and preventative foot-care advice across hospital and community settings.
